In a historic moment on the steps of the Rafghan Royal Palace in Rabul, the King has appointed the first new Parliament member, Kieran I. Kieran I will represent the province of Rafdahar in the National Parliament. Kieran I was also a member of the previos parliament, being active in politics since the country's nascence.
The King of Rafghanistan, Rafi II, has announced how the government will function when any sort of crisis occurs. The King did not specify what could constitute a crisis, but he did mention that times of war or a succession dispute could cause them. He has shown a plan where a Loy Jirga will be called, summoning certain individuals who are particularly influential in the country, including members of Parliament, the Royal Family, or any other individual the King wants to call, as the members of the Loya Jirga are chosen by the king. In the event of a succession crisis, due to its nature, the Loya Jirga will consist of all immediate Relatives of the last monarch, all members of Parliament, and the Supreme Chancellor. The King says that the primary purpose of the Loya Jirga is to expediently settle any major issues and confirm the accession of a new king. Similar systems will be used to solve regional disputes, with local leaders forming the Loya Jirga, though it is up to the Parliamentary representative from the province to decide who is an official member. The idea has already been met with popular approval and is hailed as one of the king's greatest achievements in restructuring the government, doing away with the old, Byzantine system of bureaucracy that slowed all decisions down to a snail's pace.

Recently, a number of parliament members have moved out of the country, preventing them from continuing their duties. In light of this, the King of Rafghanistan, Rafi II, has decided to begin a program to completely restructure the government so that the King may regain his historic powers. The most significant change has already been announced, as a new position has been created, which will be known as the Supreme Chancellor.
The Supreme Chancellor will function as an advisor for the king and act as the king's regent when he is outside of the country and will oversee all diplomatic relations with other countries and also lead all Rafghan embassies in other nations. The first Supreme Chancellor has not yet been announced, but the king has said the position will be filled shortly. The Parliament has been fully restructured, with each province in the country electing one person to represent that province in Parliament. the Parliament's role has also been changed, as it can now propose laws, but the King has the right to veto any such suggestions and can also pass his own laws without the consent of Parliament. Truly, this is an exciting time to be a citizen of the Kingdom of Rafghanistan. Its has been decided that the final member of parliament, in addition to Chad I, Christan I, Daniel I, Kieran I, is Cyrus I. Parliament meetings will begin in August.
When the votes of the elections for parliament were tallied, the results were that Chad I, Kieran I, Christian I, and Daniel I won, although there was a tie for the final place between Cyrus I and John I. In order to remedy this, the government has decided to create a new election for them to last fifteen days, and each voter will only have one vote. Until the final member of Parliament is decided, there will be no Parliament meetings.
Due to the agricultural nature of Rafghanistan and the official completion of the Agricultural Research Labs, The Government of Rafghanistan has decided to alllow the scientists at the Labs to use government land to research how best to grow saffron, A project to be known as, "the Saffron Growth Project", as it can be a major cash crop, and even the smallest improvement in growth speed is projected to increase the wealth of Rafghan citizens greatly.
Four out of the seven candidates have given thier statements. The others have decided to not say anything.
John III-If I am elected, I will make my citizens happy by trying to reduce taxes. Chad II-I run for my country, and i believe I can protect my country. Anyone who wants to join will be protected under me. Kieran I-I am perfect for the job as I have many ways to help and aid the nation. Daniel I-I would like to improve all of the economy. I want the best of all from my citizens and I will give them all I have. Also, elections will begin on June 1, 2012. Recently, Christian I announced his plans to run for parliament, affiliating with the republican side. This brings the total number of candidates to a staggering seven. The unexpectedly high amount of interest had led to theories that the government many increase the number of seats in parliament.
